Procedures for cancelling expulsion and deferring tuition fees for the second semester of the 2024 academic year

For those who have received a notice of expulsion

As of Tuesday, October 15, 2024, students who have not requested a deferral and have not been able to confirm payment of the 2024 second semester tuition fees (etc.) will be listed as "expelled" with grace.

If tuition fees (etc.) are not paid, your student will be expelled (effective September 21st).

However, you can cancel your "removal" by following the prescribed procedure by Friday, November 15th. There are two ways to do this, so if you wish to cancel your "removal," please complete the procedure within the deadline.

 

(1) If you are able to pay the full amount of the second semester tuition fee (etc.) and the withdrawal cancellation fee (5,000 yen) by Friday, November 15, 2024
① Make a transfer at a financial institution using the transfer request form (including the cancellation fee) attached to the "Notice of Exclusion."
②Download the application for cancellation of expulsion (pdf) and print it out.
③ Fill out the necessary information on the “Application for Cancellation of Expulsion” using a black ballpoint pen.
④ Submit the “Application for Cancellation of Expulsion” and a copy of the receipt to Academic Affairs Division Office.

 

(2) If you are unable to pay the full amount of the second semester tuition fee (etc.) and the withdrawal cancellation fee (5,000 yen) by Friday, November 15, 2024
1) Download and print out the application form for deferral of tuition fees for the second semester (etc.) (pdf) (set of 3 sheets).
② Fill in the necessary information on each of the three sheets (set) using a black ballpoint pen.
③ Submit (set of 3) to the Academic Affairs Division Office.
*After checking the submitted documents, we will provide you with a "Tuition and other fees transfer request form [Payment deadline: Monday, December 16th]".
*A new tuition payment request form will be sent to those who have not paid their tuition fees from Monday, December 16th onwards. A grace period fee of 2,000 yen will be added to the new form.

The grace period will last until January 15, 2025 at the latest.

Friday, November 15, 2024

If either of the above procedures are not completed within the deadline, your expulsion will be finalized and you will only be able to re-enroll under the re-enrollment system stipulated in the regulations.
