Public interest reporting and consultation

School Juridical Person Osaka Sangyo University (hereinafter referred to as "this institution") has set up a contact point for whistleblowers and consultations (hereinafter referred to as "whistleblowers, etc.") in accordance with the Whistleblower Protection Act and School Juridical Person Osaka Sangyo University Regulations Regarding Whistleblowers, etc., and will endeavor to handle whistleblowers, etc. appropriately.

What is whistleblowing? (Contents of reports and consultations)

This refers to reporting and consulting when there is an actual or potential violation of laws, regulations, and school rules in relation to the business of the school. *The content of the report does not include falsehoods, slander against others, or other wrongful acts.

Whistleblowers (scope of users)

  • ①Officers of the school
  • ② Employees who have an employment relationship with the school
  • ③ Dispatched workers employed at the school under the Labor Dispatch Law
  • ④Officers and workers of contractors who have contractual relationships with the school
  • ⑤ Those who provide labor based on a service contract with the school (managers, coaches, external lecturers, etc., regardless of status)
  • ⑥Officers and workers of the school’s business partners

*Regarding items ② to ⑥ above, workers who have left their company within one year of leaving it may also make a public interest report.

How to report or consult and the reception desk

You can report matters in the public interest through the reporting desk below (please use the reception sheet).

  • *The report must include specific facts and evidence to support the content.
  • *In order to confirm the contents of the report, we may interview the person who made the report in person or over the phone, etc. Also, if the report/consultation is made under real name but you wish to keep it confidential, we will consult with you about how to proceed with the investigation, etc.
  • *If a report or consultation is made anonymously, we may not be able to notify you of the results of the investigation or we may not be able to fully investigate the facts.
  • *Please note that when making a reservation by phone or in person, the conversation may be recorded in order to accurately understand the content.
  • *If the content of the report violates any of the school's regulations listed below, we will handle it in accordance with the respective regulation and transfer the report to the person responsible for that regulation.

Protection of whistleblowers, etc.

Those who report or consult and those who cooperate in the investigation will not be treated disadvantageously as a result of reporting or consulting or cooperating in the investigation. In the unlikely event that they are treated disadvantageously in the work environment, etc., corrective measures will be taken. In addition, it is prohibited to search for whistleblowers.
